MISSION

The IMPROVED initiative was founded in 2012 to address the need for more uniform outcomes and outcome measures in trials of procedural interventions to treat the skin.  All interested health professionals are invited to join in the work of IMPROVED (click to learn more).

OUR GOAL:

The initial goal of IMPROVED is to develop core outcome sets for skin diseases and conditions amenable to procedural interventions.  Such core outcome sets will then be associated with relevant core outcome measures for inclusion in clinical trials and observational studies.  By measuring the same endpoints, studies of skin surgery will be more useful to physicians, patients, and other stakeholders interested in understanding the benefits and harms of cutaneous procedures.
